I was driving Zubin to school, and he realized he had forgotten something.
No problem.
We turned around to go get it.
We got back on the road to school and encountered heavier traffic, moving much slower than before. At this moment, I started to get frustrated and wished that the drivers would move faster so that we could also move faster.
This feeling reminded me of what Jim Rohn says, "You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with."
In that moment of traffic, I realized a truth - while we cannot control the road ahead, we hold the power to select who we choose as our fellow travelers in life.
Let's remember to surround ourselves with people who support our journeys and allow us to move freely towards our goals.
